Lighthouse Development Consulting has been named Mid-sized Planning Consultancy of the Year at the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2026 South West.
The award recognises the team’s technical expertise, collaborative approach and ability to deliver complex planning projects across the energy, infrastructure and development sectors.
During 2025, Lighthouse led the consenting process for 1.8 GW of renewable energy development under challenging NESO grid reform deadlines. This represents enough generating capacity to power approximately 1.5 million UK homes.
The team has also supported the rollout of EV flash-charging infrastructure, helping to accelerate the decarbonisation of transport, while continuing to navigate complex Environmental Impact Assessment and Public Inquiry processes.
Across its work, Lighthouse combines strategic planning expertise with accessible community engagement, biodiversity net gain and a focus on delivering meaningful benefits for local communities.
