Peter is a Chartered Planning Consultant with over 20 years’ experience and an industry leader. Peter was formerly Head of a Planning Team at the largest planning consultancy in the UK before co-founding Lighthouse.
Peter provides expert advice to help clients navigate the planning system including technical, political and strategy advice. Peter prepares planning applications, appeals and associated applications, drafts evidence, manages multi-environmental and legal disciplines, leads on the consenting processes and provides top level planning advocacy and expert evidence at Committees, Hearings, Examinations, Inquiries and court proceedings.
One of Peter’s key strengths is his depth of experience and expertise across the energy and infrastructure sector, which has been his focus for 15 years.
Peter prides himself on achieving successful outcomes for clients. This means achieving deliverable and commercially focussed planning consents tailored to client’s needs, including assisting with site identification and feasibility advice.

Nick is a Chartered Planning Consultant with over 10 years’ experience in the private sector, working for the largest planning consultancy in the UK. Nick has a particular interest and expertise in sustainable design and renewable energy and has extensive experience throughout the process of achieving consent and supporting clients in the delivery and construction of energy projects on the ground.
Nick acts for developers to provide a full range of planning consultancy services and has a detailed understanding of planning policy and legislation in England and Wales.
Nick specialises in the energy and infrastructure sector and has delivered projects through the TCPA, DCO and DNS consenting regimes.
Nick takes an open and honest approach to advising clients, taking time to understand their primary objectives and balancing the full range of planning and development issues in order to best meet their development aspirations.

Kate is a Chartered Planning Consultant with 15 years of experience in both public and private sectors. She has worked in the UK and New Zealand and has a broad range of experience spanning community planning and regeneration, cultural and heritage interests, residential and commercial developments and planning for minerals, waste and infrastructure.
In recent years Kate has established specialist knowledge in the renewables sector, confidently and reliably providing strategic planning advice at all stages of a development project.
Kate takes pride in successfully guiding clients through the consenting process to deliver commercial priorities alongside environmentally sound planning outcomes and is motivated by enabling innovative ideas, important work and ambitious targets to be realised on the ground.

Oliver joined Lighthouse Development Consulting in September 2023 as an Associate, following 17 years of working in Local Planning Authorities across London and the Southwest of England.
Oliver has significant experience handling planning applications across many sectors. Oliver has acted as project lead on several renewable energy projects including a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and a solar farm development.
Oliver has worked on a wide variety of development projects including major residential schemes, barn conversions and rural economic development. He also undertakes and prepares development appraisals and planning appeals and has recently worked on a Public Inquiry as an expert planning witness.
In addition, Oliver has worked as a development management officer where he has worked on major applications in both the commercial and housebuilding sectors. He has also worked as a local plan officer helping secure the adoption of a development plan and the allocation of sites. Oliver has also been involved in the monitoring of housing land supply across the Southwest and keeps a keen interest in housing supply and delivery in the region.
Outside of work, when he has time outside of looking after his young family, Oliver enjoys mountain biking and can often be found falling off his bike in woodland in Devon and Cornwall. He also enjoys rugby and has started coaching a local rugby team that his son plays in.

Steffan is a Chartered Planning Consultant with experience in the public and private sector. Steffan specialises in renewable energy projects and is working on several solar and battery storage developments across England and Wales.
Based in our Cardiff office, Steffan works closely with the Company Directors to offer clients expert advice, simplifying the planning process.
Steffan’s responsibilities include the preparation and submission of planning applications, the preparation of comprehensive planning reports, generating plans using GIS and diligently monitoring submitted applications through to determination.
With a commitment to excellence, Steffan prioritises the clients’ needs, ensuring that advice given resonates with their objectives. This approach is characterised by insightful, accurate and educated advice, informed by robust experience and a nuanced understanding of the planning system.
